Taekwondo and Judo developed into physical culture shared by people all over the world. the background of the birth of the two martial arts and the process of their development into world-class martial arts are summarized in four areas as follows. First, Taekwondo accepts Korean and Chinese martial arts and Okinawa Karate, but Judo accepts traditional jujutsu developed by the Japanese war culture. Second, Taekwondo has undergone change process of various subject forces, but Judo is unfolded centered on Kano Jigoro. Third, the sports development of Taekwondo and Judo have been transformed into game scoring rather than the original martial arts identity. the sport change of taekwondo is due to the deterioration of hand skills and impractical foot technique, and the sport change of Judo is not gaining popular response due to the lack of a game of bouts due to excessive preparatory movements before the introduction of the technique. Fourth, Taekwondo grows faster than Judo. In terms of time, Taekwondo started in 1944 and was registered as an official Olympic sport in 2000 and grew rapidly for 57 years. Judo developed for 83 years from the official departure in 1882 to the adoption of the official Olympic sport in 1964. therefore, Judo goes through a more stable globalization process than Taekwondo.
